GHEEK RESIDENCE, PUNJABI BAGH
Gheek Residence: Palm tree house is a multi-storeyed apartment building for three brothers of Gheek Family. The floors are divided into independent apartments, each furnished in a different style and taste. The building also features a fully functional SPA and Gym.
The building features a stone jali façade with perforations which increase in size as they move vertically upwards. The jail was designed to increase the privacy at lower floor where visual access from the front road gave away the interior spaces. The jali covers the south-west façade and cuts out the harsh glare and also doubles as a sound barrier helping reduces the sound infiltration inside the building from the main road and noise from the vehicular movement.
